MDC package en route, new YMPE for 2009

This year's MDC Reporter package, which provides HOOPP with the annual pension data for all the HOOPP members that you employ, is slated for distribution in early December.

MDC Reporter includes tools for the easy completion of the PA For Health Leaves Report as well as the RCA Contributions Report.

The RCA Contributions Report is included in the MDC Report this year and both are due by Jan. 30, 2009. The PA for Health Leaves Report needs to be completed by Jan. 12, 2009.

To help us send member annual statements directly to Plan members by mail, we will need you to provide us with mailing information by Jan. 30, 2009. Please note that the mailing information can be e-filed through the MDC Report this year.

Important: This year, MDC training sessions are by request only. Please contact your Regional Representative directly to arrange for a one-on-one training session if you are new to your organization or if you're in need of a refresher.

New YMPE: The federal government has set the year's maximum pensionable earnings (YMPE) for 2009 at $46,300. The YMPE is an important number for calculating HOOPP contributions. HOOPP is in the process of updating its materials to reflect the new 2009 YMPE.
