2009 Price Set – Contribution Rates Remain the Same
“Stability” is the word of the day as HOOPP’s Board of Trustees keeps up the steady trend in its contribution rates into 2009.
HOOPP is maintaining its contribution rates into 2009 with employers continuing to contribute $1.26 for every dollar that members contribute.
Member rates will stay the same at 6.9 per cent on annualized earnings up to the YMPE and 9.2 per cent on annualized earnings above that level.
HOOPP’s Board of Trustees, as part of its strategy to return the Plan to fully funded status, has been able to keep contribution rates stable since 2004. The Board set 2009’s contribution rates at their June 15, 2007 meeting.
