You can purchase past service at any time while you are an active member of HOOPP.

The cost of buying past service will be based on your average annualized earnings, age, contributory service, and  eligibility serviceas of the date you formally apply to buy the service. The resulting quote will be valid for 90 days

Once the quote expires, you will need to obtain a new quote before you go through with the purchase.
