2009 Contribution Rates Remain the Same as 2007 and 2008

HOOPP’s Board of Trustees recently set contribution rates for 2009. The rates will remain the same as they are in 2007 – so there’s no increase.

HOOPP has maintained the same contribution rates since 2004.

Under HOOPP, you contribute 6.9 per cent of your annualized earnings up to the year's maximum pensionable earnings (YMPE), and 9.2 per cent of your annualized earnings above the YMPE.

In 2007 the YMPE is $43,700.
