New Chair for HOOPP's Board of Trustees

Kelly Butt, past chair, Lawson Health Research Institute, is Chair for 2006.

Appointed to the Board by the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA), Butt was the Vice-Chair in 2005.

Dan Anderson, director, and chief negotiator for the Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA), is the Vice-Chair of HOOPP's Board of Trustees for 2005. He served as the Chair in 2005.

Every two years the Board selects a Chair and Vice-Chair. After a year in their respective roles, they change positions for the second year of their terms.

HOOPP's Board of Trustees is made up of 16 voting members. Eight trustees are appointed by the OHA and four unions each appoint two trustees. The unions are the Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA), the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), the Ontario Public Service Employees' Union (OPSEU), and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). There can be two non-voting pensioner observers on the Board.
