Payment Schedule Improved
HOOPP has re-worked its payment schedule. Now when the first day of the month is a Sunday or a holiday, your pension will be deposited on the last Friday of the previous month.
The one exception is Jan. 1. This is because paying it early would mean paying it in the previous tax year. Here's the pension payment schedule for 2007.

- March 30, 2007 (April’s payment)

If you are a Canadian resident who lives outside of Ontario, the deposit of your pension payment may be affected by other provincial or territorial holidays if they fall on the first of the month. The same applies if the home branch of your financial institution is in a province or territory outside of Ontario.
