Pensioners, deferreds to get 0.99 per cent increase

All HOOPP pensioners - including deferred pensioners - will see a cost of living adjustment (COLA) increase of 0.99 per cent on April 1, 2010.

HOOPP COLA is equal to 75 per cent of the previous year's increase in the consumer price index (CPI). From December 2008 to December 2009 the CPI rose by 1.32 per cent.

HOOPP's Board of Trustees is aware of the importance of providing COLA to pensioners and has consistently worked to ensure that HOOPP pensions maintain their buying power over time – see our chart for details.
