Reno Bugiardini
Senior Vice-President, Information Technology & Facilities Services

Reno BugiardiniReno Bugiardini is HOOPP's Senior Vice-President, Information Technology & Facilities Services. He is responsible for Information Technology, Information Management, and Facilities Solutions and Services.

Reno brings more than 20 years of information technology leadership experience to HOOPP, including 10 years as director of technical services. He has been responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of data centres, standardizing processes and policies, increasing system performance, and increasing user productivity and satisfaction at companies throughout North America.


Victoria S. Hubbell
Senior Vice-President, Strategy & Stakeholder Relations

Victoria HubbellVictoria Hubbell is HOOPP's Senior Vice-President, Strategy & Stakeholder Relations.

Victoria is responsible for strategic planning, marketing and communications, government and stakeholder relations, client research, new business development, and human resources.

Victoria joined HOOPP in 2005 from a consulting firm where she was Executive Director. She held senior management positions with two leading financial services companies and brings 20 years of strategic implementation, leadership development, and organizational change experience to the organization. In 2008, she was recognized by the Women's Executive Network as one of Canada's Most Powerful Women.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Western Ontario.


Jim Keohane
Senior Vice-President, Investment Management & Chief Investment Officer

Jim KeohaneJim Keohane is HOOPP's Senior Vice-President, Investment Management & Chief Investment Officer.

Jim is responsible for the overall operation of HOOPP's Investment Management function. This includes overall responsibility for management of the Fund, reporting to the Board on all investment matters, meeting the investment objectives of the Fund, and ensuring compliance with HOOPP's investment policies.

Before becoming CIO, Jim worked as HOOPP's Vice-President of Portfolio Strategy & Derivatives. He joined HOOPP in 1999 with more than 25 years of institutional investing with several national firms. After completing his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Ottawa, he obtained his MBA at Queen's University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has completed the Directors Education Program at the Institute of Corporate Directors.


David L. Miller
General Counsel & Senior Vice-President, Governance

David MillerAs General Counsel and SVP, Governance, he manages HOOPP's legal department, serves as HOOPP's Privacy Officer and oversees the Plan's business continuity program.

He joined HOOPP in May 2004, from the Toronto office of a national law firm where he had practised as a financial services lawyer for 17 years.

David earned his law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1987. He also has an undergraduate degree in economics.


John Riviere
Senior Vice-President, Finance & Chief Financial Officer

John RiviereJohn Riviere is HOOPP's Senior Vice-President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer.

A seasoned Chief Financial Officer with over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, John was most recently employed as Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer at a large financial institution focused on custodian activities. Previously, John was Chief Financial Officer of a large international financial institution operating throughout the Caribbean region.

John is a Chartered Accountant and a Canadian Investment Manager (CIM). He has a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University and has also completed the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton Business School.


Barbara Thomson
Senior Vice-President, Plan Operations

Barbara ThomsonBarbara Thomson is HOOPP's Senior Vice-President, Plan Operations.

Barbara is an operations executive with over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joinng HOOPP Barbara was employed as Vice President, Fund Administration at a major mutual fund company, where she was responsible for all aspects relating to reporting and taxation of mutual and segregated funds. Barbara was also Vice President, Fund & Trust Accounting and Vice President, Project Management Office for a national insurance company where she led the development and implementation of product, integration and systems projects as well leading an integration committee to align process and activities for projects such as policy holder, fund accounting and custodial conversions.

She is a Chartered Accountant and also has an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.
