Senior Vice-President, Plan Operations

George Buse is HOOPP’s Senior Vice-President, Plan Operations.

The SVP, Plan Operations, is responsible for the delivery of pension administration and client services to HOOPP members, pensioners, and employers. This work includes case processing, pension policy development, and quality assurance. The role is also responsible for HOOPP’s multi-year Client Relationship Excellence program.

Mr. Buse joined HOOPP from a major Alberta pension plan where he was chief operating officer. He has more than 20 years of increasingly senior management experience in the pension industry.

Mr. Buse is a past national executive member of the Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute. He holds both a bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees from the University of Alberta.
