Website Section Provides Overview of New Member Statement
HOOPP has taken steps to give Plan members a more effective picture of their pension benefit, more quickly.
Through the new annual statement, members get all the personalized information they need in one document. In the past, the statement was accompanied by a long, descriptive booklet which explained the significance of the numbers and terms on the statement.
Also, HOOPP is sending statements directly to the home addresses of members this year – the first time we’re doing this for the entire membership. This accomplishes our goal to help you out by taking over the responsibility of distributing statements to all the Plan members you employ.
A special annual statement section on hoopp.com provides an overview of the statements to help members by highlighting what’s different while also featuring FAQs and news.
So if you get questions from members about the statements, be sure to direct them to the website – the answers they’re looking for may be there.
