Targeted Approach to Communications

We appreciate that you are very busy. That's why HOOPP targets information it sends to employers. We endeavour to send you only the information relevant to your role.

For example, member data collection information goes to Member Data contacts, rather than to others who have a HOOPP role but who don't look after that responsibility. Those designated as the CEO contact will get high-level information, but not details about form changes.

One person may be listed as more than one type of contact - this is common among smaller HOOPP employers.

Contact types

  1. CEO - Chief Executive Officer
  2. CFO- Chief Financial Officer
  3. CHRO - Chief Human Resources Officer
  4. Other Executive contact - other officers of your organization to receive high-level information
  5. Administration contact - receive administrative newsletter (Primer) and updates on day-to-day Plan administration
  6. Member Data contact - responsible for preparation of annual member data collection
  7. Health Leave contact - involved in preparation of member data collection, or pension adjustments, and maintaining records regarding health leaves. The length and conditions of health leaves are critical in determining eligibility for a disability pension and extended disability leaves
  8. RCA contact - maintain records of members covered by HOOPP's retirement compensation arrangement
  9. Annual Statement Distribution contact - distributes annual statements to members
  10. Member Print Distribution contact - distributes print version of quarterly member newsletter, Pension Update
  11. Online Member Info contact - receives e-mail from HOOPP with a message and link to member newsletter, Pension Update, or other online news. The contact then e-mails their members with the message and link(s).

It is helpful if you keep HOOPP informed of changes in contact personnel or e-mail addresses.

You can do this by reporting changes to your regional representative, or by e-mailing info@hoopp.com. Be sure to include your employer code, the person's name, type of HOOPP contact(s), job title, and e-mail address.
