Performance Measurement
HOOPP uses a balanced scorecard to manage organizational performance. The purpose of the scorecard is to:
- help align ongoing operations and organizational strategies
- chart HOOPP's progress towards achieving strategic goals
- help shape employee behaviour that will lead to meeting organizational goals and objectives
- support HOOPP's Board of Trustees' assessment of annual organizational performance
Specific measures, weights and targets have been developed for HOOPP's two main areas of business - pension administration/client service and Fund performance. Measures, weights and targets also have been established for the processes, technology and people supporting the main business areas.
Performance measures, weightings and targets are reviewed and approved annually by the Governance Committee of HOOPP's Board.
Scorecard updates are provided to the full Board and to HOOPP employees on a quarterly basis.
