Search Tips
Tips
- Check your spelling
- Consecutive words are treated as an exact phrase – use double quotes between words to broaden your search (Example: "illness and leave")
- If you get too many results, limit results by adding another term using AND (Example: contributions and leave and disability)
- Variations of commonly used words are automatically searched (Example: meet will return meets, meeting, meetings)
- To limit the search to one form of a word, enclose it in quotations (Example: "meeting")
- If you still don’t find what you’re looking for, try the Site Map
Improve your search with operators
- Search for more than one term by separating words with OR (Example: cats or dogs)
- Search for all words by using AND between words
- Omit words by using NOT (Example: benefits not bridge)
Try wildcards when you’re unsure of a term
- Asterisk (*) can be used to find related word variations with the same prefix (Example: retir* will find retire, retires, retired, retiring, retirement)
- Question mark (?) can be used to replace one character words, particularly useful for words you are unsure how to spell. (Example: pens??n or pen?ion will return pension)
