Pension Payment Schedule

HOOPP pensions are normally paid on the first business day of each month.

Where the first falls on a weekend or holiday, HOOPP will make the deposit on the last business day of the previous month (except for January, for administrative reasons, January pension deposits cannot be made in December).

Notes about payment schedule

If you live or bank outside of Ontario

• If you are a Canadian resident who lives outside of Ontario, the deposit of your pension payment may be affected by other provincial or territorial holidays if they fall on the first of the month.
• The same applies if the home branch of your financial institution is in a province or territory outside of Ontario.

If you live outside of Canada

• HOOPP only makes direct deposits to Canadian bank accounts. If you live outside Canada and don’t use a Canadian bank account, you will receive your pension cheque by mail. The time it takes to deliver mail from Canada varies from country to country.
