HOOPP believes in sharing the facts about retirement income security and is focused on advocating for more affordable retirement for all Canadians. You will find some of our key research on the topics below.
Abacus Canadian Retirement Survey

In the spring of 2020, HOOPP commissioned a public opinion survey of 3,500 Canadians to gauge their feelings about their own retirement preparedness, as well as their views on workplace pensions and the implications of decreasing pension coverage. When compared to a similar 2019 study, the findings show that personal and societal concerns around retirement security are remarkably strong amid the COVID-19 pandemic. HOOPP recognizes that 2020 has brought about difficult financial times for both businesses and individuals. As Canada looks to rebuild post COVID-19, this study provides strong evidence to suggest that improving retirement security outcomes is not only worth considering, it is a priority for Canadians.
